Mandatory fun is never fun. This is true for mandatory parties as well as mandatory pretending anything to entertain the superiors of your superiors. Fun in a team should be based on the needs and ideas of the team.
2. Watching every minute of employees' activities
A manager who measures the comings and goings of his people in seconds sends a clear signal that he does not trust them to be able to perform their jobs. Employees will get tired of that very soon.
3. Not expressing gratitude
If the word "thanks" is missing in a manager's vocabulary, he cannot expect strong morale in his team. Managers must be lead to give thanks as often and as specifically as possible.
4. Making something out of nothing
We all make mistakes. A manager who publicly criticizes a subordinate for a typo on the 147th page of a two-hundred-page presentation is nothing more than a nitpicker. And nitpicking undermines morale reliably.
5. Not listening
When an employee sees that his manager is not listening to him, he will not come next time. He will lose not important information but also the trust of his team.
