Gas consumption dropped in the Czech Republic by 1.8 % in the first half of the year

The Czech Energy Regulatory Office has published statistical reports on the gas network operation in the first half of this year. Actual natural gas consumption reached 3.11 billion cubic metres (bcm) in the first quarter (Q1) of this year, which is 0.6% less than in the same period last year. Natural gas consumption is significantly influenced by outdoor temperatures. The average outdoor temperature was 2.1 °C above the long-term standard temperature in Q1. When the long-term standard temperature is taken into consideration, the converted consumption dropped by only 0.3%.
