On 16 March 2022, the Continental European power system and the Ukrainian/Moldovan power system were synchronized successfully. On 26 April 2022, Ukrenergo was welcomed as observer member of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) organization. Commercial electricity exchanges with the Ukrainian/Moldovan power system started on 30 June on the interconnection between Ukraine and Romania, followed by the Ukraine-Slovakia interconnection on 7 July. Electricity trading on the Ukraine-Hungary and Moldova-Romania interconnections are expected to follow later.
