Carbon capture and storage will create new jobs in the UK

Tens of thousands of new jobs will be created across the United Kingdom to underpin the growth of the carbon capture and storage (CCS) industry, according to Jonathan Brearley, CEO of the British energy regulator Ofgem. Mr Brearley has recently said that decarbonising heavy industry, hydrogen production and power plants needed a new generation of clean jobs. In January, Mr Brearley visited several CCS sites across Britain and also training facilities in Humberside and Tees Valley regions.
