Norway energy industry faces Russia threats

In a closed meeting on Monday 26 August, the security services of seven European countries (Norway, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and Iceland) met with Norwegian energy managers and officials, including representatives of Equinor, Europe's largest gas supplier, to discuss threats they perceive from Russia to critical infrastructure. The meeting highlighted Norway's key role as a major supplier of energy to Europe.
