Reforms of the British energy regulator Ofgem

Ofgem has published detailed rule changes, whose aim is to ensure a simpler, clearer and fairer energy market. The proposals are grounded in two years of extensive engagement with customers and industry representatives.

The reforms will solve problems of widespread confusion among consumers who are confused by the many energy tariffs, with poor supplier behaviour and with lack of transparency which is blocking competition. Reforms will give consumers the choice they want and simplicity to compare energy tariffs, making it much easier to access the information they need to find the best conditions on the market.
