Kazakhstan’s KazAtomProm announced that the company will produce 10% less uranium in 2017 than previously planned due to ongoing oversupply in the uranium market.
The reduction is roughly equivalent to 3% of total global uranium production in comparison with 2015 figures. The state-run company KazAtomProm operates all Kazakhstan's uranium mines either alone or through joint ventures with international partners.
