The European Commission approves Polish state aid to support the Chorzów biomass plant

The energy company CEZ Chorzów II Sp. z o.o, part of the ČEZ Group, plans to build a high efficiency combined heat and power unit in Chorzów (near Katowice in Poland) which will use biomass as fuel. The European Commission has approved, under EU State aid rules, the Polish government's plan to support the construction of this heating plant.
