11 new nuclear reactors to be built in China

China's State Council has approved five new nuclear power projects totaling 11 reactors. The projects are Xuwei Phase I, Lufeng Phase I, Zhaoyuan Phase I, San'ao Phase II, and Bailong Phase I. China currently operates 56 reactors with a total combined capacity of 54.3 GW and has 30 more reactors under construction, adding another 32.5 GW.
