People seeking work in the Czech Republic would like to earn an average monthly 18,415 Czech crowns. This is the so-called expected salary, cited by job seekers in their CVs posted on a Czech online job site Profesia.cz when applying for a specific position.
The average salary for job seekers in the 3rd quarter of 2011 increased slightly year on year. People seeking work in the Czech Republic would like to earn less than 200 Czech crowns per month more than last year.
"The expected increase in salaries has reflected positive market developments in the economy, at least in the first half of 2011. Expected salaries, however, usually respond to the situation on the market with a delay and in the second half of this year the economic situation worsened again. That is why people could dampen their expectations once again," said Lubomir Valenta of the company Profesia CZ.
