Half-year surveys of the Czech Statistical Office reagarding sick leave for illness or injury of employees for the needs of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs are comming to their end. They will no longer be used since the beginning of 2012. This happens especially in connection with modifications to the Law No. 187/2006 Coll. on sickness insurance that enables the Czech Social Security Administration to access administrative data on health insurance of all organizations and self-employed people.
Cancelation of the surveys strives to reduce the administrative burden on employers, to intensify the use of administrative data sources and to reduce the costs of providing and processing data. Statistical statement Nem Úr 1-02 has been so far filled by almost 25.000 companies with 26 or more employees.
"The use of data of the Czech Social Security Administration to ensure statistics on sick leave will mean elimination of the administrative burden on employers in the amount of approximately 26.1 million CZK during next year," informed the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in a press release.
