Workplace rules shoul be created to ensure the greatest possible autonomy to the majority of your employees who are motivated, professional and hard working. Do not burden them by rules generated for 5% of those who lack motivation or discipline.
Do not work from morning till night
Rather than concentrating on time, concentrate on work results. Try to implement the most possible flexibility.
Stop swearing
Build a culture in which it is forbidden to swear at customers, colleagues or anything else. You might be surprised how big change is it to express ideas instead of turbulent emotions.
Allow sharing of experience
Allow your people to become real experts on their work by giving them access to the latest procedures and ability to regularly share their experience with colleagues.
Talk about future
Take interest in your people's career goals for the next five to ten years. Help them to achieve these goals.
Allow employees to work independently with their energy
Each employee has his own metabolism, his own period of activity and inactivity. Why not to permit a short nap?
Implement everyday recognition
Reward the behavior you want your employees to repeat with praise at least twice a week.
