In 2011, the Czech online job site Profesia.cz published by 38% more job offers than in 2010. The number of vacancies for people who want to work in the engineering and automotive industry rose the most notably.
The year 2011 has been more positive for the labor market than the previous years. It brought the best results in the number of published job offers since the start of the economic crisis. "The gradual improvement in the market was already visible in 2010 but 2011 brought a revival," said Zuzana Lincova, Country Manager at Profesia CZ.
The majority of the jobs advertised on Profesia.cz in 2011 was dedicated to IT specialists - every one in four offers belonged to the IT sector. The sectors of business and economics, finance and accounting were significantly represented, too.
The number of advertised jobs increased in almost all the sectors. A year-on-year decrease was seen only in the sectors of law and legislation (-19%) and pharmacy (-8%).
