During the economy downturn, human resources have entered the five most important concerns of business leaders in the region of Europe and the Middle East - at least according to the study by KPMG titled Business Leaders Survey involving 3,000 senior managers.
"Managing and retaining the right people" is considered critically important by 24% of the respondents. Last year, this issue did not get even among the top ten priorities in the same research.

When asked what "managing and retaining the right people" exactly means, 43% of respondents mentioned employee motivation. 30% believe that it is primarily a matter of developing key people and 12% bet on pay and other rewards.
