Contemporary economic situation has a considerable impact on the labour market. The employees are more grateful for their work and they try to keep it as long as possible. According to the analysis of the employment portal Profesia.cz, the job applicants state in their CVs working experience from 2.3 preceding employments on average. As the research carried out on a sample of 42 000 CVs demonstrates, the number of past employments fell in comparison to previous year by 4.2 %.
Policemen work for one employer for the longest period, au-pairs for the shortest
The CVs stored on Profesia.cz show that the most stable occupation was the profession of a policeman. In this case, the average period of employment on one post reached 15.9 years. In contrast, the other end of the chart was occupied by the profession of au-pair, whose average time of employment on one position amounted to 0.9 years.

It is the auxiliary staff and people under 34 years of age who change their working positions most frequently
Applicants from the age category 17-24 years have on average experience from 1.4 employments. People under 34 worked on 2.6 posts on average. In the subsequent age categories, the number of employments grows more slowly. It reaches the level of 3,1 in the age group of people under 44 and 3,2 in the age group of people under 54 years of age. In the group 55+ we may observe a slight decrease to 2.9 employments.
Year-on-year, all the job levels were affected by a slight decrease in the number of previous employers. It is still true that it is the top managers who during their career change their work most frequently (3.8 times on average). The least number of previous employers is stated by the assistant employees (2.6) and skilled workers (2,7). The remaining levels fluctuate around the level of 3 former employers.
