EU-OSHA e-guide: Managing stress and psychosocial risks at work

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) launched its free of charge e-guide on managing stress and psychosocial risks intended for employees and employers particularly of small businesses. The e-guide is is available to browse online or it can be downloaded in several national versions including Czech. Each version is adapted to the legislation and context of its nation.

Stress is an important occupational safety and health (OSH) concern in about 80% of European businesses and is one of the main reasons for lost working days in Europe. However, less than a third of European establishments have procedures in place to deal with work-related stress,“ reports EU-OSHA.

The e-guide contains:

  • explanations of risks, their causes and consequences for workers and employers,

  • advice and instructions on how to spot problems early and take action,

  • examples of prevention and risk management, particularly for small businesses,

  • myths and facts on stress for workers and employers,

  • information on national resources.
