Recruiting new employees online? Then don’t try to be funny (2/2)

The first article warned us that we may not want to use jokes in an advertisement intended to attract employees. Now we will see what lies behind this warning. If you are about to advertise something involving healthcare, financial counselling or car repair, humour can backfire. 

This is the reason why advertisers have traditionally used humour for selling products or services that don’t cost much and don’t require much serious thought. In these cases, humour is safe and works well.
