Assistance in finding work for the citizens of Slovakia who have become victims of collective redundancies or are at risk of collective redundancies will be newly offered by a private company. The Centre Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak republic (ÚPSVAR) concluded the contract with the winner of the tender for this project - IU.N.EX PERSON company from Banska Bystrica. The company will provide consulting and training and place the collectively redundant on the labor market. Most of the reward from the state will be paid to the company only after it actually finds jobs for them.
ÚPSVAR expects that the involvement of the third party may provide more effective employment services than employment offices. Individual employment offices will now sign contracts with IU.N.EX PERSON because the offices have the database of the appropriate project participants. At the end of January, there were 1,338 collectively redundant and hundreds of employed people threatened by collective redundancies. After signing the contracts, the company will set up its counseling centers at the employment offices or directly at the premises of particular employers who are planning collective redundancies.
IU.N.EX PERSON will be providing counseling and education and looking for jobs for the project participants for 12 months. If it does not find a job for a participant, it must offer him other education or job offers every month. If it proves that the participant had received all the services and job offerss, it will be rewarded 150 euros per participant.
Other rewards will be paid only after placing a participant on the labor market for at least three months. That is equivalent to 200 euros. Maximum reward of 1,000 euros will be paid after 12 months of the participant's employment. Sanctions, on the other hand, include fines from 8 euros per a non-employed participant to 30 euros for not providing training to a participant. The project is scheduled for 36 months until December 2014.
