Microsoft officially acquired LinkedIn. What's next?

Antitrust authorities of the European Commission approved the purchase of the LinkedIn social network which was announced by the US software company Microsoft in June 2016. It is the largest acquisition by Microsoft, worth $ 26 billion.

The network, with over 467 million users in 200 countries, will retain its brand and CEO Jeff Weiner. Microsoft, at the same time, pledged to maintain its services open for LinkedIn competitors.

The completion of the acquisition was confirmed by both the CEO of LinkedIn Jeff Weiner and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
