A system of healthy communication
According to HR Morning, a frequent problem in the manager-employee relationship is unclear, undefined and underestimated communication. Changing this state of affairs requires working with employees and primarily managers; usually it is necessary to set up open and healthy communication as one of the components of company culture. Sometimes it may suffice to have regular meetings, one-on-one sessions with the manager, and tolerance on both sides of people's individual needs.
Help from management
A satisfied employee must feel they are developing and that people around them care about them improving. Non-existent feedback on the part of the manager may lead to the employee feeling unappreciated or ignored. Active work with the employee, their development and gradual increase of their authority and power are things that belong to a healthy relationship between management and workers.
Focusing on strengths
Each of us has strengths and weaknesses. Anyone who claims to have no weaknesses merely displays the weakness of arrogance. In an ideal team and ideal working environment in general, the strengths of individuals should be emphasised so they can be used effectively to achieve the best possible result of the whole group. Company culture should be designed so management can exploit the full potential of individual team members, appreciate their uniqueness and experience, and take into consideration their specific capabilities and needs.
