"The most powerful tool for overcoming the tendency to procrastinate and increase productivity is your ability to think, plan and decide," says or more precisely writes an American speaker and consultant Brian Tracy, one of the world's leading personalities in the areas of personal and professional development, in his blog.
According to him, thinking and planning triggers our creativity and increases our mental and physical energy. Every minute you invest in planning saves you ten minutes of the follow-up activity. Therefore, it is striking how many people are not planning their activities. All you need is only a pen and paper or computer or mobile device into which you can write your tasks.
"Try to work according to previous planning of all the stages of your work," says Tracy, "and you will save two hours a day." Prepare your list of tasks every evening before a working day. Record everything you should do the next day and your subconscious mind will work on it during the night.
You will need different lists for different purposes. Start with a "master list" and write anything that you plan for the future. Then create a monthly list to schedule tasks for each month in advance. For each week, then, develop a weekly list to help you create individual daily lists. It is a relatively simple technique that will give you a sense of greater control over your life and natural motivation.
