"Project management is a learnable skill, like riding a bicycle. It can be divided into a series of steps, each of which you can master, one at a time," says or - more precisely - writes an American speaker and consultant Brian Tracy, one of the world's leading personalities in the areas of personal and professional development, in his blog.

1. Start at the beginning

Clarify the goal of your project and define what you need to do to achieve this goal. Define the steps in terms of time and budget. Make sure your goals are realistic and achievable.

2. Form your team

Carefully choose who will participate in your project. Sometimes the team will have to be compiled in advance before you even start to develop your project plan.

3. Divide responsibilities

Each team member should feel personally responsible for successfully fulfilling the project goals. You can achieve it by discussing all the details of the project with the people who will be responsible for each task.

4. Create a shared vision

Answer the question of what you are trying to achieve together with your team. Allow everyone to participate in the visualization of the expected outcome. Build shared project development plans based on that.

5. Set deadlines

Once you have shared vision and plans and everyone knowa how the result of your efforts should look like, determine the project completion date based on the team's consensus.

6. Compile a list of tasks

Make a list where you write all the tasks that must be met, by whom and when. Try to be as detailed as possible.

7. Manage the project

Organize the project on two levels simultaneously - using sequential and parallel tasks.
