Don't refuse invitations to various out-of-work events or invite your colleagues for a lunch or another collective activity. Don't talk about your work or about yourself during these private meetings, try to get to know the others.
Find recognition outside the company
If you enjoy your job and want to stay with your current employer, even if you don't get enough recognition there, try to earn it outside. Profile yourself as an expert on social networks or at conferences. Your company will notice it soon.
Talk about experience
If you don't have experience yourself, never mind. You can talk about the experience of different personalities in your industry. Watch the media and current trends and share what you learn with your colleagues.
