What personality trait is shared by all successful startup leaders? This question was put by Monster.com to members of The Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC), which Forbes magazine called "America's most elite entrepreneur organization". The respondents, who were real startup founders and CEOs, listed the following important personality traits of successful entrepreneurs.

1. Ability to solve problems

A successful entrepreneur has to count on changes and be able to come up with new solutions to unexpected situations.

2. Vision

An entrepreneur must know what they want to achieve. They work with the limited resources available so as to achieve the highest return on investment. Vision helps them set specific goals and make decisions about complex matters.

3. Perseverance

Every startup founder knows it is not easy to promote something new. They must persevere and not lose faith in their goal. They do not lose motivation when an obstacle appears.

4. Courage

An entrepreneur must be able to envisage not only potential success, but also take into account the risks and possibility of failure. This requires great courage.

5. Open mind

A startup founder has an original idea and product but this does not mean they should ignore feedback from customers, employees or professional advisers.

6. Humility

An entrepreneur should not get carried away by the first success. Ego should be put aside; they should still listen to the views of customers and employees. They should also be able to admit to their own mistakes.

7. Ability to convince others

A starting entrepreneur must be able to promote their product, which may still not be completed, to potential customers, investors and employees. They must be able to show enthusiasm and infect others with it.

8. Certain degree of arrogance

Entrepreneurs are often very self-confident or even arrogant. This attracts the attention of investors. You have to count on the fact that business is a hard fight.

9. Curiosity

A good entrepreneur always asks what can be improved. Their first product brings a certain change, but they do not want this to be the last change they come up with.

10. Strong commitment

This is toughness, which includes both creativity and courage; it means the ability to turn the impossible into routine.
