How does a leader think?

What distinguishes true leaders from others is their philosophy of life - the way they live and want to inspire others. It is a way of thinking which involves some features that are common to all great leaders, regardless of the age in which they lived or the industry they worked in. How in fact does a leader think? A concise overview of leadership thinking was published by coach Tiffany Mason on lifehack.org. Are you of the same opinion, or do you believe a real leader thinks in a different way?

1. They help others grow

Real leaders are involved not only in their own development. They realise people are turning to them for advice and direction and genuinely want to help.

2. They show the way

Unlike many people, real leaders know where they want to go and what they want to achieve along the way. They also work with various options that can occur and only then do they make crucial decisions. People naturally follow them.

3. They provide inspiration

Another feature of real leaders' natures is to inspire others to do something. They share their enthusiasm with other people and gain their confidence.

4. They have a vision

Real leaders know how to answer such questions as: What is the purpose of my vision? Why do I want to live according to the vision? What makes me different from others? They understand their vision and take specific steps to implement it.

5. They know themselves

Real leaders are not afraid to stand out from the crowd and stand up for what they believe in. Thanks to this, they can make even difficult decisions.

6. They look for solutions

People too often only think and talk about problems instead of seeking answers. This is another difference in the thinking of real leaders, who focus on finding solutions.

7.  They  make good use of their time

Another motto of real leaders might be: Time is precious and we should not just waste it. Leaders usually have a busy schedule but they can specify priorities. And they have enough discipline to fulfil these priorities.
