As far as accessories, both men and women should keep the old saying in mind "less is more". Begin by carefully selecting your perfume. The perfume should be soft that it is barely discernible. Remember that everyone has different tastes, and what smells good to you could make it very unpleasant for others to be with you in the same office. Recruiters may also be allergic to perfumes.
If you come for an interview wearing a hat or sunglasses, take these accessories off immediately after entering the building. Do not leave sunglasses on top of your head. Wear only modest jewelry. No wide chains or rings on every finger.
Carry the documents you bring to the interview in in a leather briefcase or portfolio. Do not forget to bring a bottle of water so that you can drink while waiting for the interview and writing utensils so you can take notes. And finally a crucial thing - your mobile phone.
Your phone should not ring during the interview. You should not hold the phone in your hand, even while waiting for your turn. Switch it off before entering the building. If you fear you may forget this, stick a colored reminder on the portfolio you carry with you.
