In the previous article we focused on the primary roots of employee disengagement. Now let’s see what solutions are available. These are the main cures for low engagement suggested by the management-issues.com website. When you have fostered respect, trust and accountability, your employees are much more likely to be willing to go the extra mile when the going gets tough.

Send out a clear message that your company values are more than just words. Get them to contribute and participate. Guide your people and watch them grow.

Mutual respect must be visible

Treat your people as human beings, not as mere functions. That will create a "thrill" and make your organization engaging and dynamic rather than passive and proactive.

Accountability

In order to achieve mutual respect and trust, accountability is key. It is essential for increased enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to the common effort.

Invest time and interest in your employees

Also try to nurture your subordinates' hidden talents. This will be positive not only to the employees, but also to the performance of your team or department as a whole. It is important to live your company values and communicate with your employees with sincerity. Encourage your employees to participate and empower them.

Personal growth brings engagement

When they participate, recognize their effort early and often. Mentor and coach your team and provide them with constructive feedback regardless of whether their results are more positive or negative. Take a conscious and genuine interest in your employees and when you do, they will take an interest in you as well. They will become engaged.
