Prague College looks forward to its new semester with one of the biggest february intakes in its history

Prague College, one of the Czech Republic's leading private universities, is delighted to announce a record number of students joining the college for its new semester which started on Monday 15 February.

As is now tradition, Prague College greeted the majority of its seventy-plus new students at an “Orientation Day” that took place on the 10th February at its premises in Polska, Vinohrady. During that time the new students were presented with all of the most important information on their new school in an informal and friendly manner, as well as being taken through a detailed introduction to lecturers, classes and student services. They also had the chance to ask the staff various questions, as well as getting to know each other generally.

This was followed, on Friday, February 19th, with an “opening of semester” party, with a number of attractions including a photo booth, Pub Quiz, Karaoke, dance exhibition and various other activities. Throughout the whole evening, great New York-style food was supplied by “Dirty Dog Street Food”, along with refreshment from the Central Bohemian Bobr brewery.

Talking about the new semester, Douglas Hajek, founder and director of Prague College, said: “All of us at Prague College are delighted that so many new and talented young people have chosen our school to learn in and to develop their career. What is interesting is that so many students are starting their studies with us in February, which indicates that many of them have decided to switch to us after trying a first semester at a different university. This will be quite a challenge for us but it will be a challenge that we will enjoy, since we believe that the personal approach of our team will ensure that every student will settle in quickly and happily.”

Prague College offers a wide range of study programmes in Business, Finance and Accounting, Fine Art, Graphic Design, IT, Computing, and Communications Studies. It aims to offer something more than just theory by providing meetings with professionals from related industries and several high level speaker events with business leaders.
The new semester will open with a “Skill Exchange Week” devised by students, where students, staff and professors in all three schools will trade different skills and expertise with each other.
