Don’t reject rejection. It is part of your path to success

If you need a role model for dealing with rejection, there are examples of people who were very successful in the end despite numerous rejections. And we all know them: they are, for example, famous actors.

An article on the addicted2success.com website mentions Leonardo DiCaprio and Sylvester Stallone. Many actors were rejected at the very beginning. If you truly want to achieve something exceptional, maybe you will need to be able to withstand a higher rejection rate.

What you should realise about rejection

- If once you do not succeed, it is up to you to keep trying. Other and maybe even better opportunities await you. So go for them.

 - Don’t feel like a reject. If someone turns you down, it often means merely that they have other plans than what you were offering. At least they were honest with you. Things don’t always work out as we planned. But that’s life, so don't be afraid of taking risks. If you don't, you definitely cannot succeed, right?

- Take it from a salesperson’s perspective. You need to hear "no" many times before you finally hear "yes". You don’t need everyone to agree with you. Many of your proposals can be declined but when the successful one comes, it will be big. Keep your spirits up.

- Rejection is part of your journey. Don’t view it as a dismissal of you personally. It doesn’t mean that you will never be sufficiently intelligent or skilled. You can always develop and you can always move forward.

- When you request something, do so with some passion. If people don’t believe you, they will never say yes to you. So be confident and shine. We all are able to be very confident if we really want to.
