Perform an internal communication audit
First and foremost, make an audit of how you communicate within your team. Effective and fast communication is the key to productivity. Take an audit of internal communication channels to see if communication is dragging on and taking too long somewhere, but equally to find out whether some communication is unnecessary or overly detailed.
Simplify processes
Simplicity is power. In order to work efficiently and increase productivity, you need to simplify all internal processes within your team as much as possible. Try to automate as many processes as you can, and simplify all processes to the extent that they consume the minimum possible amount of time and energy for all employees.
Give subordinates more room to work independently
Delegating responsibilities is necessary not only to increase a manager's work capacity, but more importantly to improve employee morale, engagement and productivity. Allow subordinates to work independently and give them space for their own initiative and creativity.
Use software tools wisely
Nowadays, there are a number of software tools, often quite specific and integrated with one another, which can help you immensely if used correctly. Find out what tools can be used to get your team's work done, and see if any of them can help you increase productivity.
