Not everyone is fortunate to born as a leader. Inspiring other to follow you requires big effort and self-confidence. You can start applying at least one of the following steps every day.

Build reputation of a helpful and resourceful person

Leader does not have to know everything, but he should know how to solve problems. He observes what is going on around and is able to advise on how things work.

Become an authority in your field

Actively work on your reputation as an expert, whether it will require further study, visiting conferences or starting a blog about your industry. Search for your own projects.

Mentor newcomers

Find your first followers among newcomers. Pay attention to the problems of newcomers around you and offer your help. Practice communication.

Build contacts among colleagues

Do not try to build contacts directly with superiors, start with colleagues who can provide their expertise and resources to help you successfully complete your projects.

Lead on the basis of cooperation

Successful leadership is based on teamwork. Leader should be able to recognize the strengths of others and connect them to achieve success together.

Work on gaining your colleagues' trust

How to do it? Just do not give them reasons not to trust you. Behave ethically.

Encourage by positive approach to others

Leadership requires strong positive energy that will inspire others to perform at their best.
