Make use of your workaholism

If you are prone to workaholism, don't worry that you have an obsessive disorder or you are not "normal" right away. Highly successful people exhibit the same tendencies because they love their work, their products and customers. They aren't driven by fear that they have to achieve something but by enthusiasm. So, how to gain the best possible benefit from your natural workaholic nature?

Concentrate on the quality of your work

If you want to work longer than others, do something you are good at and delegate the rest. There is nothing worse than being overworked and unsuccessful.

Plan what to leave out

Busy people often find that their schedules overlap and they must then decide to leave out some of their activities spontaneously. When in a rush, however, we decide differently than if we had more time. The solution is therefore to review all the activities your spend your time on. Then, a proactive repeal of those that are not related to your main objectives (work or private) should follow.

Get inspired by athletes

Successful businessmen know the same thing as athletic champions know - you can not use your full potential all the time. It is more effective to alternate periods of high performance with periods of relaxation. For you it may mean to find a five-minute break every hour or defining certain time period not to work at all. For example, if you plan to work for ten hours during the weekend, divide the time into two five-hour sections with a break.

Don't let yourself be distracted by work-realted thoughts during your free time

If an interesting work-related idea comes to your mind at a time when you are not working, be prepared to record it quickly. Make a written or voice note to your mobile phone and focus on non-work activities. You will get rid of the stress that you might forget the idea and return to work with a new motivation.
