How to be a happier boss

Do you want to be happier at work? Stop making the following ten things.

1. Stop blaming others

People simply make mistakes and when you point your finger at someone, the fact will not change. Focus on problem solving and your own responsibility.

2. Stop trying to make an impression

People will not like you just because your clothes, car or title. Be yourself and you will have more natural relationships with the people around you.

3. Stop clinging solely on what you need

Try to achieve something that you do not need but want. Even if you fail you will feel better just by the fact that you try it.

4. Stop interrupting when others speak

Learn to listen and focus on what they say. Ask questions to make sure that you understand well.

5. Stop complaining

If you continue to complain about your problems, you will feel even worse. Rather concentrate your efforts on how to solve them.

6. Stop controlling everybody

Even if you are the boss, you can fully control only yourself. An effort to achieve tight control over others will lead only to frustration and fear on both sides.

7. Stop criticizing everybody

Maybe you are more educated and have more experience but that does not make you better than your subordinates. Every person is different and you should learn to appreciate differences instead of criticizing them.

8. Stop preaching to others

For preaching, the same applies as for criticizing - do not judge others. Learn to listen more and both you and your people will be happier.

9. Stop constantly analyzing mistakes

Learn from your mistakes and from the mistakes of others and move on.

10. Stop being afraid

Do not wait with your ideas and dreams for "the right moment". No matter what you are planning, start doing it as soon as possible.
