Can you become an entrepreneur?

Most articles focused on personal qualities you need to become a successful entrepreneur write about work ethic, perseverance, ability to persuade others and the like. You have certainly read about these qualities many times. Let's therefore have a look at the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs which may look more like weaknesses. However, better than any others, these characteristics indicate whether entrepreneurship could be the right career path for you. The following qualities were summarized by Grant Cardone, successful entrepreneur, speaker and author of books on sales, on Entrepreneur.com.

1. You do not like the status quo

You do not like doing something just because it has always be done like this. You always want to know why to do it.

2. You get bored easily

Others you may perceive as you as a troublemaker, but you are just trying to use your skills to carry out a challenging work.

3. You are being fired often

Your work for others often ends by being fired because you want to build something bigger than an employee can build.

4. You are a rebel with no respect to authorities

That is at least what others say about you. You do not have to consider your behavior as a rebellion, but it is natural for you to break the rules . Your parents, teachers or bosses have never forced you to follow any strict rules of a community.

5. You want to improve everything

You always wonder how to improve things. You present your proposals openly even if they are not wanted.

6. You hate talking about nothing

Small talk is a waste of time for you. You feel comfortable only when you speak about a specific topic.

7. You were bullied

In your childhood, you have experienced a lot of criticism and perhaps even bullying. This has strengthened your desire to show the world that you are a strong personality able to succeed.

8. You are obsessed with what you are doing

When you do something, you are fully engaged in it. You will not let anyone convince you that you can be too much engaged. You cannot sleep because you keep thinking about your idea. When you fall asleep, you dream about it.

9. You are afraid to start your own business

Every entrepreneur is afraid to stand on his own feet. At the same time, he is also afraid about not starting his own business. You hesitate because you often hear from others that being an employee is less risky. However, you know that risk exists in both cases.

10. You are not like everyone else

You have always felt that you are different than others. You can either see it as a problem or as a motivation to succeed on you own.
