Chris Bailey from Ottawa, Canada dedicated a year of his life to searching for ways to become as productive as possible. After he graduated from university with a business degree, he decided to reject lucrative job offers, instead while unemployed for a year he started his own project called A Year of Productivity. From May 2013 to May 2014 he performed dozens of experiments in order to maximize the effectiveness of his life. He got up at half past five every morning. He tried meditation, various technologies, food, drinks, clothes, locations and physical activities, read a lot and got inspired by interesting people and recommendations.
One of his experiments included watching 70 hours of TED talks within 7 days. Chris Bailey finally saw 296 videos focused on productivity in that week. In an interview for TED.com, he explained that he is a fan of TED talks and finds the videos inspirational. So he decided to focus on the qualities of the best TED speakers and the best TED talks.
