1. Talk to your superiors

Try to approach a senior manager in your company saying that you would like to learn more about his work and the future direction of the company. You may be surprised how much people like to talk about their work. You will learn useful things plus your superiors will remember you.

2. Find a task beyond your job description

Try to get involved in a project or team you do not normally cooperate with. You will break out of your everyday routine, learn something new and you may even bring ideas to the table that others wouldn't have come up with.

3. Engage in local activities

Enter a local professional organization and participate in meetings with students and other people from the industry. Follow interesting people from your field on social networks. If you are interested in what to follow on the Czech LinkedIn, read the article here

5. Watch specialized websites and blogs

If you do not have time to read these sites regularly, subscribe to their newsletters or become their fans on social networks and get news alerts by e-mail.

6. Find a small or short-term leisure time project

Create something you consider useful. You may, for example, help a local organization or friends of yours. You may also meet someone who inspires you. Develop the skills you do not normally use.
