Your Christmas party needs a theme

Will your party this year look like meeting in your office or restaurant where your people will have a few drinks and go home like last year? If you are thinking about something more fun at the last minute, we have some tips for you.

First of all, remind yourself about the purpose of the party. It's a way of expressing thanks for good work and an opportunity to strengthen the cooperation and satisfaction of your people. Select a theme for your party.

The following tips for themed parties were published at theundercoverrecruiter.com.

Party around the world

If your company cooperates with other countries or your people love traveling, choose a foreign country as your theme. Make decorations, costumes, food, drink and music in Italian, Spanish or Hawaiian style. Send invitations in the language, adjust your names according to how they are pronounced in the language and distribute small gifts in the country's style.

Movie marathon

Select a movie genre and several films that represent it the best. Encourage employees to come in the costumes of their favorite movie stars and heroes. In the breaks between the movies you can eat and drink and also play movie quizzes or other games.

Retro

If you have employees who are over the age of 20, retro is an ideal choice. Choose the style of the 1960s, 80s or 90s. Dress, decorate the room and have fun. Encourage employees to actively participate in organizing the party. They can bring music, photos and various objects from the period. Again, you can play themed quizzes or, for example, compete for the best costume, dance and so on.

Murder mystery

Prepare a detective story in which everyone will play a role. Tell employees in advance about their roles so they can prepare costumes accordingly. The employee who will play the detective or even an entire detective team should reveal the murderer before he or she kills all the others.

What kind of themed party did you organize or experience? What did you enjoy and what was terrible?
