The use of “near me” searches is increasing: in fact, such proximity-based searches have skyrocketed in recent years. Micro moments are very often about what is near to the user. Therefore, you should ensure that your Google business page is up and running. You should also optimise your website for local searches.
Your site should use SEO properly, mainly in order to rank well for the key products and services. Strong content is crucial here: you need a quality blog or other useful content on your company website.
Optimise the performance of your site or app
Performance is also important. Load speed of your website matters: if your pages take longer than three seconds to load, you are probably losing customers.
Almost one third of smartphone users immediately switch to another website if the current one is not loading fast enough. And the same applies when it comes to the performance of applications.
Also optimise your content: if information is hard to find, you again lose users. Page load speeds are maybe even more important when most people are using a mobile phone than it used to be when everyone was using a desktop.
UX matters
Consider your content: is it really useful for visitors? What are the first things a visitor sees? How quickly can visitors find what they need? Maybe your website is unnecessarily complicated and difficult to navigate.
Also simplify your customer journey. A complex purchasing process or basket that takes too many steps to complete will again cost you some customers.
Avoid distractions wherever you can. Users who are distracted are much less likely actually to convert and buy from you.
