Most consumers ignore mobile ads

According to the report by AYTM Market Research firms have a greater chance of success when using new media marketing rather than traditional display advertising.

The result of a survey of 400 consumers show that nearly 47% considered any form of mobile advertising as "annoying," 27.3% have even called it "intrusive." In addition, 42.9% of respondents said they have never clicked on a mobile ad intentionally.

So how to really reach smartphone and tablet users?

Just use the new media marketing the same way as you do for computer/laptop users. Social media marketing is an effective example – social media are among the most popular applications on smartphones and tablets. Thus a suitable campaign reaches not only users with computers but also your mobile audience.

Similarly, the SEO needs to be adjusted so that the company will be found even users who are looking for it using a mobile connection. Brafton recently reported that mobile SEO campaigns have a CTR of 7% vs. 0.6% for mobile display ads.
