E-mail is already quite an old marketing tool, so we do not expect many surprises here. However, last year we may have first heard about optimizing e-mail campaigns for mobile devices. Recent study by Litmus confirms that in 2014, it must be assumed that most emails are displayed on phones or tablets. Are you ready for it ?
Browsers serve no longer for reading e-mails
As many as 61 % of webmail users read mail through mobile devices! In the case of the other mail, it is "only" 51%. For browsers remain only 20-22% of e-mails. Let's look at more detailed information:
- 68% of Gmail users read mail on mobile devices.
- 68% of Yahoo users read mail on mobile devices.
- The lowest percentage of reading e-mails from mobile has Outlook. Nonetheless, it is still respectable 47%!
- The most popular interfaces are iPhone and Android.
In 2014, we can expect a further increase in use of smartphones and tablets. Therefore, also in the Czech Republic, optimization of e-mail campaigns becomes an essential part of their success.
