Can artifical intelligence replace real-life salespeople?

Artificial intelligence (AI) worries many workers because in many cases their work can be replaced with robots and algorithms.

Despite the fact that the apocalyptic visions of unwanted human labor haven't come to pass, the decrease in the demand for manual workers is apparent in some sectors.

This applies partially to sales as well, as clients can often choose their options online, everything takes place electronically, and it seems that the salesperson is no longer needed. However, there several crucial reasons why sales can never drop the human factor.
