E-mail continues to be a very effective marketing tool. The number of messages people receive daily is steadily growing. Therefore, it's very important to think about the right times for sending an e-mail. Maybe that's why you will find useful information resulting from the survey by GetResponse, which analyzed 21 million e-mails sent from the accounts of their clients. Let's look at the most interesting findings:

  • Almost 24% of e-mails is opened within an hour of sending. After that, the opening rate decreases rapidly - during the second hour of sending, people open less than 10% of e-mails.
  • Most e-mails are sent between 6 am and noon. At that time we get almost 40% of all e-mails.
  • The fewest e-mails are sent between midnight and 6 in the morning.
  • People tend to open e-mails in the morning at about 8 and 9 o'clock. At this time, they are also willing to click through on a link.
  • In the afternoon, e-mails are opened at 3 and 4 pm.
  • If you have a link in an afternoon e-mail, people are keen to click at 3 pm and 8 pm.

For a successful e-mail campaign, it is therefore needed to reach the addressee at the time they are likely to review their e-mails. In addition, if you trade in different time zones, it is necessary to consider the time difference issue and customize sending accordingly.
