A successful press release in 2014? Create infographics

Getting attention with your press release is increasingly difficult. Chances grow if you use multimedia tools. Pictures or videos can completely change the feel and greatly increase readership. The latest trend in this area is Infographics: visual schemes which combine text with graphics for the purpose of communicating information.

People are visually focused and respond to images. After all - when we all were children we first perceive stories from pictures, only later we learned to read. Infographics are more detailed than photos and work much faster than a video, even though both call on visual senses.

An infographic goes straight to the point and can simplify complex information. It catches attention very fast. However, even here applies that the content must be interesting to the reader, a good graphic impression is not enough. The aim should be to make readers want more details.

When to use infographics?

Graphic representation of information is possible in many cases, but in some cases it is particularly effective. So try to think about creating an infographic instead of your press releases especially when you want to inform about:

  • Results of a survey, which may be confusing if described by lengthy texts;
  • statistics (figures seem monotonous);
  • comparative studies.
  • If you want to convey information to people speaking different languages;
  • If you want to share information that will be boring without graphics.
