How to prevent burnout in PR

Long hours, the need for continuous adaptation of scenarios, crisis management, deadlines - all this creates constant pressure in PR. Therefore, burnout or even worse consequences of permanent stress need to be permanently prevented.

Maybe you have your own way to maintain a clear head and be well rested. If not, you may find useful the following recipe by PR Daily.

  • Skip Saturdays. One day just skip altogether and Saturdays to fit the best. On Sunday, it is usually necessary to prepare for Monday.
  • Excercise. Adrenalin and fatigue cannot be degraded just using coffee and Red Bull. Sport even enables you to relax your head for a while, which will come in handy later at work.
  • Unplug. At first it's difficult, but once you learn, you gain strength and will later be more creative.
  • Time with the family. Children help, although understandably taking care of them permanently is quite hard in anotherway. Anyway, multiple interests allow you to keep a healthy distance.
  • Talk It Out. Chat with friends effectively eliminates any stress. Moreover, you often laugh with them, which makes you feel even better about it.
  • Passion for work. Often just passion will help you overcome the most difficult moments at work, which occasionally come.
