New British energy price control settlements

British energy regulator, Ofgem, set out new proposed price control settlements for five of the six companies that run Britain’s regional electricity network, which transports energy into homes and businesses. Ofgem approved the presented plans of the remaining operator last year.

New proposals would see the network companies invest £17 billion to upgrade and maintain Britain’s regional electricity network. This proposal is planned to come into effect in April 2015 and run until 2023.
